The goal of treatment
The goal of treatment is to help people with depression feel more like themselves so they can move forward with their lives. In some cases, treatment can help reduce people's emotional and physical symptoms. However, when symptoms do not go away completely, there is an increased risk that the depression will come back.1 Nobody should settle for feeling only slightly better. With proper care, people with depression can greatly improve and return to leading productive lives.
Finding a trusted healthcare professional and creating a treatment plan just for your Partner, which may include talk therapy, participation in support groups, medication or a combination of treatments, is the first step to moving toward recovery.
